Books and Treats!!! What a day it was! On Tuesday, October 20th, students, parents, and staff all dressed as their favorite book character. Mrs. Arrington, Principal, even dressed up as her favorite…Junie B. Jones! The costumes were fabulous! Students and parents traveled to different classrooms across grade levels and heard teachers read wonderful books and lead interactive read-alouds to celebrate their costume. Anna Browning, children’s book author, (loved by Junaluska) came and read one of her own published books. She talked with students about the importance of reading and writing and to always pursue your dreams. Students also had the opportunity to pick out a book to keep and take home! What a great day it was to be at Junaluska Elementary School!
