Thanks to the efforts of Todd Blevins, President of Peak Energy, Jessica McCoy, Director of Operations, and Mark Higdon, Wholesale Manager, Junaluska Elementary School has been awarded a $500.00 ExxonMobil Education Alliance grant.

The money will be used to continue Junaluska’s ongoing initiative to have Chromebooks in every classroom.  The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers like Peak Energy with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.

ExxonMobil’s Educational Alliance Program has awarded $1.8 million in grants this year to schools to help enhance math and science education across the United States.  This is the 13th consecutive year for the program.  Peak Energy supported 14 schools throughout Western North Carolina with $7000.00 from Educational Alliance funds this school year.
