As school officials monitored weather conditions over night and into the morning, the majority of roads remained wet and warm.   Unfortunately, heavy snow began to fall and stick to some roads and other surfaces around 5:15 a.m.  This prompted the two-hour delay call.  Just before 8:00 a.m. temperatures dipped below freezing and ice began to form on roadways.  This resulted in schools closing for the day.

Tuesday, March 14, 2017 is an optional workday for employees.  Employees may work or use accumulated leave.  March 14 will be made up on Monday, March 20, 2017.  Monday, March 20 is now scheduled as a regular school day.

Schools are encouraged to work with students and parents as much as reasonably possible regarding previously scheduled school and family plans on Monday, March 20.

June 8 and June 9 are scheduled for winter weather make-up dates if needed.
