Staff may work or take accumulated leave. This day will not be made up for students.

Overnight, ice and black ice developed on roads in the Beaverdam and Thickety areas as well as Upper Fines Creek, Crabtree, Ironduff, Jonathan Creek and Maggie Valley. Please be extremely careful if you must travel this morning.

On Thursday, March 22, 2018, Haywood County Schools will operate on a Two Hour Delay schedule due to inclement weather.  No buses will run on icy roads.

We will continue to monitor the situation overnight and into the morning.  Wintry weather and freezing temperatures continue to be forecast throughout our region.  Please check back for updates as this could force a change in the schedule for tomorrow.
