Weather outlets are predicting snow in the early morning hours.  It appears the northern tier of the county from the Tennessee line to the Buncombe County line could see a few snowflakes between midnight and 4 a.m.

In Haywood County it appears most of us will remain above freezing throughout the evening and into Friday.  We expect any frozen precipitation to melt before accumulating.  At this point, we should all be prepared for a great day of school on Friday with high temperatures warming into the upper 40s or lower 50s.

Our faithful “morning crew” will begin checking roads at 3:30 a.m.  If an announcement is necessary, we will make it at approximately 5:45 a.m.  Since Friday is a scheduled early dismissal day, if there is no announcement, schools will operate from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Please monitor the school system website or your favorite media outlet for potential announcements.  Thank for your patience as we monitor this impending weather situation.
