Central Elementary School recently recognized those students who completed the Summer Reading Challenge 2014 sponsored by the school’s Title One Program.

Students were asked to complete two guided reading levels on Raz Kids. Raz Kids is an interactive computer based reading program that engages kids at their reading level while providing practice in reading fluency and comprehension. Students could complete the challenge at home or come to the computer lab at school.

Those who completed the challenge were rewarded with a trip to the Waynesville Recreation Park playground and Jack the Dipper for ice cream.

The school wishes to thank Jack the Dipper for the special treatment. The students had a wonderful time.

The students who earned the trip were Phoenix Fletcher, Hannah Crawford, Jayla Stevens, Hudson Blackburn, Grace Nickol, Andrew Delbene, Wesley Silveira, Jackson Roten, Niki Nagarsheth, Brayden Freeman, Will Prince, Amber Strickland, Kimberly Stinnette, Logan Apperson, David Crawford, Gavin Henderson, Ryan Quigley, Cole Peterson, Heather Parris, Jacob Rhinehart, Madison Brady, Levi Branch, Ava Quigley, Dorian Martin, Kaius Pratt, Meadow Brady, Avery Roten, MacKenzie Henderson, Sadie Williamson and Breanna Conard.
