The newly released 2025-2026 data shows that among 14 counties in the Western Region of NC, Haywood is proud to have the highest performance in both End-of-Course (Grades 9-12) and End-of-Grade (Grades 3-5) assessments. These scores represent an upward trend and rebound after Hurricane Helene. The district achieved the highest performance composite the school system has recorded under the current accountability model. “This success belongs to everyone.
