Haywood County Schools is proud to recognize several educators who have earned state performance bonuses in recognition of outstanding student achievement and academic growth in reading and/or math.

Teachers in grades 4 through 8 were honored for placing in the top tier of academic growth based on EVAAS data, reflecting exceptional progress in math and reading. These educators ranked among the highest-performing teachers at either the state level or within our district.

Advanced course teachers were also recognized for their students’ exceptional performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams. This year, Haywood County Schools celebrated a record-breaking number of AP exams taken (325), along with the highest number and percentage of qualifying scores in district history, with 73.8% of exams earning a score of 3 or higher. These results reflect both the rigor of our advanced coursework and the dedication of teachers who prepare students for success at the college level and beyond.

Additionally, Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers earned recognition based on the number of industry-recognized credentials their students achieved-highlighting the district’s dedication to workforce readiness and real-world skill development.

“These recognitions reflect the dedication, expertise, and impact of our educators,” said Jill Barker, Assistant Superintendent. “We are incredibly proud of the work happening in our classrooms and the opportunities our teachers create for students every day.”

Haywood County Schools congratulates these outstanding educators for their commitment to excellence and their continued investment in student success.
