The Haywood County Schools Board of Education is comprised of nine members, each serving a four year term. Regular School Board meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Monday of each month at the ITC Conference Room in Waynesville, NC.
The Haywood County Board of Education welcomes all members of the community to board meetings. Input from members of the community is very important to this Board and persons wishing to address the board may do so during the 30-minute open session portion of the agenda. Those items dealing with personnel or individual students may not be addressed during open session due to the Family Rights and Privacy Act. Comments are limited to three minutes. The Board requests that all speakers adhere to the time limitation and prohibition against mentioning individual students and personnel. Please contact the superintendent if you feel you have a personnel issue that the Board needs to address.
