On Tuesday, April 15th, Michael Beedle, author of local history books on Canton, Waynesville, Haywood County and other towns, visited Bethel Elementary third graders. To help the third graders learn more about our region’s history, Mr. Beedle brought many photographs and told stories of the events that surrounded them. Parents of the children were also invited to attend the presentation and ask questions if they wished. The parents were then invited to watch a math lesson being taught in their child’s classroom. The parents and the students enjoyed a fun and educational day.
