After a week of winter weather and no Saturday make up, Haywood County Schools has updated the school calendar. The following is the winter weather make up schedule for the week.

Tuesday, February 17, 2015 was made up by using an Annual Leave day that was saved at the end of the calendar. Any 11 month or 12 month employee, who did not work on Tuesday, may work Saturday to make up for Tuesday. Or, the 11 month or 12 month employees may take accumulated annual leave. Working on Saturday is not an option for 10 month employees since their make up day will occur on a regular student day.

Wednesday, February 18, 2015 was made up using the Work Day scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 is now scheduled as a regular student school day.

Thursday, February 19, 2015 was made up using one of the saved work days at the end of the calendar.

Friday, February 20, 2015 was made up using one of the saved work days at the end of the calendar.

Currently, the last day of school is Wednesday, June 10, 2015. This day will likely change should additional winter weather cause school to close. As per the winter weather make up plan, everyone is encouraged to avoid planning activities during the week of June 15-‐19.

Haywood County Schools averages just over 8 missed student days each year due to inclement weather. Thus far, 6 days have been missed this school year.
