The elite and accomplished fitness winners from Bethel Elementary School took a trip to Skylanes Bowling Alley this past week. The 171 students were able to experience the joy of bowling, a lifelong physical activity. The children learned, practiced, and fine-tuned the following skills: eye-hand coordination, balance, eye-foot coordination, weight transfer, patience, and team spirit. In addition, the teachers were able to integrate reading and math skills. Whether bouncing balls off the bumper rails or knocking pins down, the participants from Bethel cheered each other on and had a blast!

Bowling is a fun sport in which anyone can participate. You can bowl in groups or by yourself. Equipment is provided and is an affordable sport for families. When faced with a variety of weather, bowling is a choice that is always available. Rain or shine – cold or hot, one can always go bowling.

Skylanes Bowling Alley helped make it an exciting day for the students from Bethel by turning on the music, disco lights and strobe lights; all of which the students really enjoyed!
