Haywood County Schools – School Closing Announcement – Employee Guidance
Friday, February 26, 2016 has been declared a No Day due to inclement weather. There is no school for students. The day will be coded as a No Day for employees. No Days are made up differently depending on the timing of the No Day and the availability of make-up days. Therefore, employees should use the following to guide their work schedule.
All ten-month employees (certified, licensed, classified and hourly)
- Ten-month employees should NOT work on the No Day (unless previously directed to do so by his or her principal/director). Ten-month employees will make up the No Day on a student day at the end of the school year.
All eleven and twelve month employees (certified, licensed, classified and hourly)
- Eleven and twelve month employees may work today (Friday, February 26, 2016) or take accumulated Annual Leave.
- Should eleven or twelve month employees choose to work rather than use accumulated leave time, they should notify their principal/director.
Staff should check with their principal, director or supervisor if they have questions that are not answered in this communication.
