This press release is in response to multiple telephone calls from the community.  Tuscola High School officials confiscated an Air Soft toy pistol at Tuscola High School this morning as students arrived at school.

“We appreciate the individuals who informed us about the situation and the rapid response from law enforcement,” said Dr. Anne Garrett, Superintendent.  “The school will complete an investigation of the matter and issue discipline according to state law and school board policy.”

“We want to assure everyone that no one was injured,” said Dr. Bill Nolte, Associate Superintendent.  “As a reminder to our students, staff and community, it is illegal for the school system to disclose the identity of students involved or the amount of discipline that is issued.
