As of yesterday, 30% of our roads were still not passable by buses.  Some roads have a single lane cleared and many turn around areas have not been scraped.  When 15% or more of our roads are not passable, a decision is made to close school.

We will send our road-check crew out at 3:00 p.m. today and try to make a decision for tomorrow by 6:00 p.m.  While it still may not be possible to have school, we want to remind our high school students that we can still finish the semester before the break.  So, we encourage our high school students to pause from work and play to review what you have already learned this semester.

As we move forward from this winter storm, the primary factors impacting the school schedule are the amount of roadway melting and the level of restored electrical service.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we reschedule or cancel activities disrupted by this significant winter storm.
