Some weather outlets are predicting mixed precipitation in the early morning hours.  In Haywood County it appears most of us will remain above freezing throughout the evening and into Friday.  We expect any frozen precipitation to melt before accumulating. At this point, it appears we should all be prepared to have a great day of school on Friday with highs warming into the upper 40s.

If the temperature drops below freezing overnight, our “morning crew” will begin checking roads at 3:30 a.m.  If an announcement is necessary, we will make it at approximately 5:45 a.m.  If there is no announcement, schools will operate on a regular schedule.

Please monitor the school system website or your favorite media outlet for potential announcements.  Thank for your patience as we monitor this impending weather situation.
