There is an opportunity for measurable snow on Tuesday, November 12th, the day after our Veterans Day holiday.  While Veterans Day should be clear and mild, a cold front is expected to move through and bring dropping temperatures and rain Monday evening.  Early on Tuesday, we expect temperatures to drop below freezing and remain below freezing in most areas throughout the day.  Rain is expected to transition to mixed precipitation early and then transition to periods of light snow during the day.

Since weather forecasts and conditions in our mountains can change quickly, we may not be able to make a decision about school until early Tuesday.  We encourage everyone to get a good night’s sleep on Monday and be prepared for school on Tuesday.  If the expected weather develops, the morning crew will be out and about starting around 3:30 a.m. checking the conditions.  If a schedule change is necessary, we will make an announcement by 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
