The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Western North Carolina beginning this evening and lasting into Thursday evening.  We expect this weather event to be very similar to what we experienced earlier this week on Tuesday.  Most of the heavy rain is expected to be to our west.  We expect major streams and most small streams to remain below flood levels.  Since wet conditions are already in place, some flooding, fallen trees, and landslides are possible in Haywood County.

Members of our Morning Crew will be closely monitoring the situation.  If the weather develops as expected, we should be able to have school tomorrow.  Everyone should get a good night’s sleep and be ready for school on Thursday.   If a school schedule change becomes necessary, we will use the normal announcement channels.
