Some weather models and forecast providers are predicting a period of snow late Thursday through the morning of Friday, March 6, 2020.  We anticipate that any snow that falls will land on warm ground or road surfaces.  This should result in rapid melting in most locations in Haywood County.  Temperatures around freezing and wind chills below freezing may allow some light accumulations and icing on overpasses and other typical locations.

At this point, we do not expect a significant impact on the school schedule.  The Morning Crew will be out early checking roads on Friday morning.  We will make an announcement through the normal channels if unexpected weather develops and impacts the safety of travel.
