Several weather models indicate possible winter weather before daybreak tomorrow (Friday). A reinforcing cold front is expected to move through the area bringing the possibility of a mix of rain, snow, and sleet in the morning. With high temperatures expected in the mid-30s in the valleys, hazardous road conditions could develop in some locations.

As a reminder, if school is cancelled tomorrow (Friday, January 15, 2021), it will be designated as Remote Learning Optional Workday with front-loaded learning for students.

There are a couple of days next week with a slight chance of winter weather. Monday, January 18, 2021 is the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. If school is closed on any of the following days next week (January 19-22), the days will be Remote Learning Optional Workdays.

The Morning Crew will monitor these situations. If any announcements are necessary, they will be made no later than 5:45 a.m. on the impacted school day. Any announcements will be made through our rapid notification system. If in doubt, please check multiple sources (HCS website, HCS social media, and local media outlets).
