We are very excited to announce that Mariel Ottinger, a senior at Tuscola High School, has been awarded the Morehead-Cain scholarship. This opportunity provides a four-year, fully funded educational experience for exceptional student leaders at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Morehead-Cain is among the most selective undergraduate educational opportunities in the United States, with only 3 percent of candidates gaining admission each year. Mariel is not only a leader in the classroom, but is an award-winning drum major for THS. We are extremely proud of her hard-work, determination, and leadership.
