A huge congratulations are in order to Ms. Heather Smith, teacher at Waynesville Middle School, for being named the 2024 Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina Teacher of the Year!  Heather teaches 8th grade math and was selected out of nine finalists representing North Carolina’s regional districts and charter schools.
