On Saturday, August 26th, school administrators from across Haywood County met with emergency management officials to discuss and train together on a unified response to school emergencies. We want to thank Bob Messer from Jonathan Creek Fire Department, Greg Shuping and Zach Koonce from Haywood County Emergency Management, and Tony Cope from the Haywood County Sherriff’s Office for facilitating the safety discussion. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority as a district. We recognize that each day parents across our county trust us with their most precious resource, and we will continue to work to create the safest possible environment for learning.
