Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods, and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs.

 

Meal Prices for 23 – 24 

Haywood County Schools will participate in the USDA Community Eligibility Provision for the 23-24 school year. This program provides breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge, regardless of their income. No action is required. Your child(ren) can participate in this program without paying a fee or submitting an application.

Students must select a complete meal for the meal to be provided at no cost. If a student only wants milk, it will have to be purchased for $.75. If you have a picky eater, you can always pack a sandwich, and they can select three to five items to compliment their meal.

 

What does a meal consist of?

 

Breakfast

The most important meal of the day! Breakfast will include the following items. Students must select at least 3 out of the 4 items offered, while one must be a fruit or juice.

1.2 servings of grain/bread/meat

2.4 oz of 100% Fruit Juice

3.½ cup of Fruit

4.8 oz of milk

 

Lunch

For lunch, the following will be offered daily. Students must select at least 3 out of the 5 choices while one must be a fruit or vegetable.

1.1 serving of meat/meat alt.

2.1 serving of grain/bread

3.1 serving of vegetable

4.1 serving of fruit

5.8 oz of milk

What is K12 Payment Center?  

K12 Payment Center  is an online service that allows you to make payments to your child’s account online via credit/debit card.  Each transaction will have a $1.95 processing fee. Parents will be able to make payments to multiple lunch accounts at the same time, eliminating dual transactions (and dual transaction fees). You can also view your child’s meal history and sign up for low balance notifications via email.
